In order to repair this large wound, Brownie was brought to the veterinary clinic and completely anesthetized using anesthetic gas. It required nearly two hours of surgery to completely clean, flush and reconstruct the side of his body. A surgical drain was placed to allow for drainage of infection due to contamination that was present.

Surgery went very well and Brownie went home late in the day to be with his other lamb companions at home!  His owners are administering antibiotic injections twice daily to treat infection--which Brownie is not happy about!

One week after surgery he is doing great! The drain has been removed and his wound is healing perfectly. Brownie--you have been an awesome patient!  Not to mention how adorable you are! Please stay out of trouble and away from the dog!
